NACD POSTER CONTEST RULES

If you are a student who wishes to submit a poster to the contest, please contact your county conservation district for the submission deadline then send your posters directly to your county conservation district office.

The NACD Annual Poster Contest will accept posters based on the theme from NACD Stewardship Week, "DIG IT! The Secrets of Soil." Each conservation district will be responsible for judging at the county level and for recognizing their local winners. The district may send the county's first place winning posters, one per division, to the PACD office. PACD will facilitate the state level judging and send those winners on to the national competition. Entries must be received by the PACD office no later than June 30 at 4:00 p.m.

2009 Categories
Grades K-1
Grades 2-3
Grades 4-6
Grades 4-6* - Poster painted with soil paint (see below)
Grades 7-9
Grades 10-12
Grades 10-12** - Poster designed on computer

(*Special category posters are not judged against regularly designed posters – they are judged against posters in same category only)

**4-6 DIG IT! Soil Poster painted with paint made from a Soil Recipe.

The recipe calls for artist acrylic (clear gloss medium) you can substitute
watered down white glue or liquid starch.)

Each participating conservation district should complete the 2009 Local Contest Posters to State Contest Form and send it to PACD with their posters to:
