Flex Time Policy

Supervisors and managers are encouraged to permit employees to alter their workday schedule to meet family/dependent care needs whenever it is possible to do so without compromising ______ goals.

Flex time schedules must meet the following requirements:

• All full time employees must work a 40-hour week;
• Operational requirements must be met;
• Service to the customer must be maintained or improved;
• Costs to _____will not be increased;
• Each office or operation must be covered during normal (or core) business hours;
• Flextime will not diminish the ability of _____ to assign responsibility and accountability to individual employees for the provision of services and performance of their duties.

In positions where flex time is permitted, requests from employees for any type of change in work schedule or work hours will be considered on the basis of the above standards and the workload of ______ . Employees must request a flextime schedule in writing. The decision of the Manager is final.
