Waterway Protection

Forty-one county Conservation Districts have been delegated responsibility from PA Department of Environmental Protection to process general permits authorizing Chapter 105 water obstructions and encroachment activities. This delegation also includes responsibility for receiving and investigating complaints, verifying compliance or noncompliance, and referring noncompliance sites to DEP for resolution.
