Opportunities to Support Annual Conference Still Available

Opportunities to support the 2006 NACD North East Region Meeting and 59th PACD/SCC Joint Annual Conference include becoming a conference sponsor, making silent auction and "goodie bag" donations, and supporting the Conference Hospitality Suite.

Conference sponsorship opportunities are still available. Conference Sponsors will have a unique opportunity to connect with leaders in conservation throughout the northeastern United States. Information on the various sponsorship levels is available at http://www.pacd.org/events/JAC06/sponsorships.htm. PACD will gladly speak to potential sponsors if you provide us with contact information.

The PACD silent auction is an annual event. We need your help to make this the biggest silent auction we've ever had. Since this meeting includes the entire NACD North East Region, there is great potential for raising additional money for the PACD Capital Fund. You are invited to donate an item for the auction. The items do not have to be large or expensive. In the past, unique items which represented a county seemed to have created the most appeal and would be especially appreciated. Some examples of popular items from past auctions are baskets filled with local fare, food items, original paintings, and hand-made rugs or crafts.

Since conference participants will come from several different states, it is a great opportunity to showcase Pennsylvania products. PACD is looking for small give-away items to present to approximately 400 attendees. The give-aways do not have to be district items, though district items are welcome. Some ideas from past "goodie bags" are snack foods, candy, pencils, and slinky toys.

The Hospitality Planning Committee is looking for donations of food and beverage or monetary donations of $50 or more for the Conference Hospitality Suite, which will be open on the evenings of Sunday, July 23, and Tuesday, July 25. A bountiful variety of food and beverage is needed.
