Agriculture and the Environment: Achieving Balance
June 1-3, 2008

Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey
4650 Lindle Road, Harrisburg, PA

New strategies for addressing old problems are urgently needed. You are invited to join the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences and leaders from throughout Pennsylvania's agricultural and environmental community to become a part of the solution. Agriculture and the Environment: Achieving Balance will engage attendees in a vision for Pennsylvania's future.

PACD Executive Director Susan Marquart
PACD Executive Director Susan Marquart was interviewed on excess nutrients in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed in March by Penn State Public Broadcasting. The video will be shown at the "Agriculture and the Environment: Achieving Balance" Conference June 1-3, 2008 in Harrisburg.

The conference is designed to tap the collective wisdom of those who are engaged in farm and natural resource management in identifying the opportunities for improving the state's water quality. This two-day conference will bring together the state's foremost experts to identify opportunities and solutions for better stewardship of the land and waters for which we have responsibility. This is a new and innovative approach which engages participants directly in the problem solving process.

Take advantage of the early registration fee ($185/person) by registering before May 1, 2008. Click on http://conferences.cas.psu.edu/ for more information.
