PACD Spring Region Meetings to Feature Leadership
Training
Don't miss your PACD region meeting this spring. In
addition to agency and conservation district sharing, trained Penn
State Cooperative Extension educators will present the first unit
in its "Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow" curriculum. Attendees
at all seven PACD region meetings will have the opportunity to learn
about "The Leader within You."
Conservation district directors and staff would all benefit from this
training. According to Penn State's curriculum, "Each group must
have skilled leadership to maximize its efforts toward achieving its
goals. Countless opportunities for leadership are present. There is
a great need for shared or participative leadership, which also results
in more effective followers-individuals who are committed to the active
and substantive involvement essential to attaining group goals."
Motivation, empowerment, and applying your leadership skills will
all be addressed during the training.
See page 4 for your region's meeting date and location. For more information
on Penn State's leadership training, click on http://leadership.psu.edu/.
