Important Reminder: Region Meetings Will Include Special Training for Director-Manager Teams

For the first time ever, the Leadership and Professional Development Program has designed training specifically for the director-manager team. The "Teaming for Tomorrow" workshop will take place during the upcoming regional district director meetings, beginning January 22.

The long-term success of every district is dependent upon how well the directors and manager work together. This workshop will focus on the collaborative elements needed for district leadership teams to function successfully.

Dean Hooper and Don Parrish, founders of Excellence Resources, Inc. in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, will provide the training. Teamed for more than 30 years, they have worked together around the world. They have experience with clients in business, industry, government and education.

It is hoped that each district will send a team of directors, associate directors and manager to the training. If this is not possible, individual directors and managers will still benefit from attending the sessions.

In addition to the professional development workshop, the regional meetings will include updates from PACD and the State Conservation Commission, as well as regional business.
