Engineering Technical Assistance Program Areas Realigned

PACD will realign its Engineering Technical Assistance Program areas to coincide with the new NRCS Technical Center Service Areas in Pennsylvania.

This realignment affects the following counties:

  • Schuylkill, Monroe, and Carbon are now in the Lebanon Technical Center Service Area
  • Clinton, Centre, Mifflin, and Juniata are now in the Bloomsburg Technical Center Service Area
  • Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, and Beaver are now in the Clarion Technical Center Service Area

While most conservation districts are aware of the NRCS changes, the PACD will observe a short transition period for the change over. As of September 1, 2005, all applications for Engineering Technical Assistance should be sent to the Technical Center covered by the new service area. If necessary, applications may be submitted to the previous area until August 31, 2005. Specialized assistance will be handled on a case by case basis in the event that additional expertise is required from another area.
