DEP to Host Fairs for Groups Interested in Growing Greener, Other Department Grants

Groups interested in applying for watershed protection and restoration grants under the Growing Greener initiative and other grants administered by DEP are invited to attend Grants Fairs throughout the state in
November.

These sessions will provide an opportunity to talk one-on-one to DEP staff involved in grants for Growing Greener, flood protection, recycling, source water protection, storage tanks, pollution prevention and energy efficiency.

Grants Fairs will be offered at the following times and locations:

• Wednesday, Nov. 13 - Holiday Inn, 880 Kidder St.,
  Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 13 - Four Points Sheraton, 100 Sheraton Drive,
  Greensburg, Westmoreland County, 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 14 - Four Points Sheraton, 800 E. Park Drive,
  Harrisburg, Dauphin County, 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 20 - Spring Mill Fire Hall, Hector Street and North Lane, Conshohocken, Montgomery County, 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 21 - Days Inn, 18360 Conneaut Lake Road,
  Meadville, Crawford County, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Monday, Nov. 25 - Genetti Hotel, 200 W. Fourth St.,
  Williamsport, Lycoming County, 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Grants Fairs are a consolidated effort to publicize grant programs, to seek grant applications, and to provide help in preparing those applications.

The deadline to apply for the fifth year of Growing Greener grants is
