PACD Auxiliary Elects Officers

The PACD Auxiliary held an election during the PACD/SCC Joint Annual Conference in July. The 2007/08 officers are:

President - Sharon Sweitzer
1st Vice President - Nancy Mankamyer
Treasurer - Sandy Dehoff
Secretary - Pat Brown


Pennsylvania Takes Second Place Honors at 2007 Canon Envirothon

A team of five high school students from Northern York High School received second place honors at the 2007 Canon Envirothon. The five-member team from Northern York High School are (left to right in photo) Benjamin Spalding, Morgan DeLuca, Ben Mummert, Hannah Richwine, and Chris Jacobs. The team's coaches were Kim Holmes and Barbara Lathrop. In addition to their second-place honor, the Pennsylvania team was awarded for receiving the highest score on the forestry test with a perfect score of 100 points and on the wildlife test with a score of 90 points. Each of the team members received a $4,000 scholarship and Canon equipment. The team from Connecticut took first place.
