New! The Electronic Mailing List for Directors

PACD is creating an email based discussion group designed specifically for directors.

The directors who join this list will be able to exchange information with their counterparts from other districts quickly and easily. Directors can also receive news and updates from PACD through this mailing list.

The reason PACD created this mailing list is because directors have asked for it. The mailing list itself is a service from NACD that will not incur any additional cost to PACD to use.

Each director that is subscribed to this list will receive a copy of every email message that is sent to the group. If you do not have access to email, you will not be able to join this group.

Directions to Use the Directors Mailing List:
1. Send an email message with the word 'subscribe' in the subject line to:
Directors-request@pacd.org
Subject: subscribe
In the body of the email, please type your name, title, county and phone number.

2. To send a message to the group, simply send an email to this address:
Directors@pacd.org
Copies of your email will automatically be sent to everyone on the list.

3. If you wish to be removed from the list, send a message with the word
'unsubscribe' in the subject line to:
Directors-request@pacd.org
Subject: unsubscribe

That's all there is to it. Questions about this mailing list should be
addressed to Shannon Eberly, PACD Communications Specialist, Shannon-Eberly@pacd.org or (717) 238-PACD (7223).

Upcoming Grant Deadline

PACD is currently accepting applications for the 2003-2004 Mini-Project Program. The next round of grants will provide funding for projects that take place between July 1, 2003 and May 15, 2004. Applications must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2003.

The mini-grants provide up to $1,000 in financial support for educational efforts that address Pennsylvania's Nonpoint Source Pollution issues. The Chesapeake Bay Educational Mini-Project program supports projects within the Chesapeake Bay Drainage Basin that help to support the theme, We All Live Downstream.

Additional information and grant application forms can be found on the PACD website.

Please contact Yvonne Harhigh, PACD's Education Specialist with any questions at (717) 238-PACD (7223) x 17 or by email, Yvonne-Harhigh@pacd.org
