Talking "BugMobile" Revs up for River Celebration
Harrisburg, PA-Wander to City Island on June 7 between 11:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m, to attend one of Central Pennsylvania's most unique outdoor
festivals, the Susquehanna River Celebration. And while you're there
don't forget to stop by and talk to the Volkswagen-because this Beetle
is no ordinary car.
"The BugMobile" is a roving educational unit-painted
to resemble a lady bug and equipped with speakers that allow it to "talk."
The car travels to events to promote Integrated Pest Management (a practical
and environmentally friendly way to manage pests.)

Along with "The BugMobile" numerous other surprises
await you at the Susquehanna River Celebration. Enjoy activities centered
around the event's We All Live Downstream theme such as live
music, puppet shows, games, crafts, live animals, demonstrations, food,
face painting and exhibits while learning about water quality.
The event is co-sponsored by the PA Chesapeake Bay Education Office
(administered by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts,
Inc.), the City of Harrisburg, and The River 97.3 WRVV. Financial support
for the event is provided through an education grant with the Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection. For more information call (717)
238-7223.
