Susquehanna River Celebration

If you are going to be in the Harrisburg area Saturday, June 7, bring your family to spend the day at the river, enjoying one of Central Pennsylvania's most unique outdoor festivals - the annual Susquehanna River Celebration. This year's Celebration takes place 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Harrisburg's Carousel Pavilion on City Island. The event will be held rain or shine and admission is free.

The event's theme is We All Live Downstream. The festival will be brimming with fun and entertainment for all ages.

Games for children, exhibits, music, crafts, good food…what better way to spend quality family time than during the Susquehanna River Celebration? Call (717) 238-PACD (7223) for more information.

The event is co-sponsored by the PA Chesapeake Bay Education Office (administered by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc.), the City of Harrisburg, and The River 97.3 WRVV. Financial support for the event is provided through an education grant with the Pennsylvania DEP.

New Resource Available for Districts

PACD recently printed a Pennsylvania legislative directory as a service to all of Pennsylvania's conservation districts. The directory contains contact information and photos of Pennsylvania's Representatives and Senators.
A listing of the various committees and their members are also included in the directory.

A few of these resources will be provided free to each district. The district chairman, district manager and the district's legislative contact will all receive a free copy of the legislative directory.

While quantities are limited, a few copies are available for purchase. To place an order, fill out the form below.
