Adams County No-Till Workshop
Because of heavy and poorly drained soils in Adams County, no-till farming often causes farmers additional problems due to soil compaction and rutting of fields. Through a workshop, on-farm visits, and bringing in individuals who are successful with no-till farming, the district provided technical and educational assistance to address concerns and encourage greater acceptance of no-till farming.

BMPs and Nutrient Management for Farm Profit and Clean Water
A series of workshops were planned for Clearfield County farmers. The goal of the workshops was to familiarize farmers with the Chesapeake Bay Program and Nutrient Management Act. However, due to staffing limitations at the Clearfield Conservation District, the workshops were canceled. The project was altered to include the direct mailing of an informational brochure, covering the same information which was to be covered during the workshops. The brochure was directly mailed to county farmers, which was said to have extended the audience reached by the project.

Resources Management for Horse Owners
The program primarily consisted of educational outreach to horse owners within York County. The program explained proper manure management and water quality concerns associated with raising horses, manure run-off in particular.
