Resources Management and Protection Tour
Description: Reduce nonpoint source pollution and improve Chesapeake Bay through Conservation Tour focusing on the connection between a variety of BMPs, nonpoint source pollution and Chesapeake Bay.
Expected Outcomes: Target audience increases knowledge of NPs pollution, Chesapeake Bay, role audience plays in making a positive difference, role BMPs play; Target audience takes action to implement improved best management practices.

8th Annual Resources Management and Protection Tour
The tour provided participants with a first hand look at some of the best management practices that were recently installed to reduce NPS pollution emanating from agriculture, dirt and gravel roads, and streambank erosion.

This annual tour provides an opportunity for the general public, students, local officials and others to learn about best management practices used in the county to help reduce nonpoint source pollution caused by agricultural operations and dirt and gravel roads.

A tour of local farms that are effectively implementing best management practices in such areas as barnyard stabilization, milkhouse waste treatment and roof runoff management. Participants will include residents, farm operators, local officials, students, and the news media.
