Stream Instability/Bank Erosion Prevention Workshop
The workshop educated local landowners and contractors about ways to prevent stream bank erosion and methods to remediate current erosion problems, with the goal of illustrating proper stewardship of riparian and floodplain areas to prevent nonpoint source sediment pollution.

The district hosted a conference for local consultants, contractors and excavators to educate them about proper erosion and sediment controls. District staff presented information on soils, best management practices, water quality issues, erosion and sediment control procedures and NPDES Phase II guidelines.

Expected Outcomes: Target audience increases knowledge of NPs pollution, Chesapeake Bay, role audience plays in making a positive difference, role Erosion/Sediment Control plays; Target audience supports improved Erosion/Sediment Control practices.
