Little Juniata River Chapter Newsletter Education and Outreach
The Little Juniata River Chapter of the Federation of Fly Fishers (LJRC) offered three complimentary newsletters and a promotional brochure to the residents of Tyrone, PA, and throughout the Little Juniata watershed. Distribution of the publications was in conjunction with an outreach and education drive. The organization also participated in the Blair County Conservation District's open house where it outlined the connection between watershed conservation and fly fishing.

Stream to You
A three-part educational program that included a slide show, water quality analysis and macroinvertebrate community assessment was developed for use by teachers to do stream monitoring and watershed education in the classroom. Manual and materials were developed for use in the classroom and teachers were trained.

Nonpoint Source Pollution Awareness in the South Branch Tunkhannock Creek Watershed
This project involved the development of a four-page newspaper insert by a high school science class based on presentations given by local resource professionals. The article was published in The Scranton Times, Lackawanna County's daily newspaper. The purpose of this project wasl to educate the science class and the general public about how certain land use activities impact the quality and quantity of water in the South Branch Tunkhannock Creek and the Chesapeake Bay through various sources of non-point source pollution. Issues such as wetlands, stormwater, agriculture, homeowner impacts, open space conservation, illegal dumping, and the role that citizens and local government play in the watershed were covered.

Lower Tunkhannock Creek Watershed Education and Awareness
This project introduced residents to the watershed through an informational brochure, display, and water monitoring activities. The goal was to raise awareness of the watershed and encourage residents to protect water resources.
