Environmentally Sensitive Maintenance of Streams
This workshop targeted regional municipal officials, contractors, and

Buffers (PowerPoint) - An overview of riparian or "boundary"
zones, and how they related to stream corridor and water quality issues
with added benefits for wildlife.

Perry County Impaired Streams: Problems and Solutions
Perry County streams listed on the 303d impaired list were delineated
and assessed. Using a GPS, coordinates were logged and photos taken
to identify representative and problem sites and their locations. All
Perry County impaired streams are impaired due to erosion and lack of
riparian buffers. This data was used to create a database from which
layouts of the impaired watersheds could be created.
