Exploring the Health and Diversity of Macro Populations in an Urban Disturbed Watershed in the Wyoming Valley Due to NPS Impacts
Understanding the biology of a stream is key to assessing its overall quality, yet often this type of data is not collected. EPCAMR conducted a biological assessment of streams in 16 watersheds in the county. Through in-depth study of bug populations within the waters, EPCAMR developed a tool to help people better gauge the health of their watershed. The findings were presented in various forms for use by the public, including handouts, a PowerPoint presentation, CD's and on the EPCAMR website.
