Indiana County E & S Training Course
This technical training for developing erosion and sedimentation control
plans provided an explanation of aspects of the planning process to
those involved in the preparation of plans for projects of 25 acres
or less. Participants received manuals which make it easy to access
information.

Contractors Workshop
The workshop provided information on techniques for nonpoint source
pollution reduction and encourage partnerships between the district
and heavy equipment operators. Among the goals were to familiarize
local contractors with best management practices (BMP's) that can
reduce soil erosion at work sites and to encourage municipal officials
to apply BMP's at township work sites.

BMPs for Erosion and Sediment Control Workshop
The workshop focused on Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 regulations and
addressed improving and enhancing the Chesapeake Bay watershed by
explaining how to achieve greater levels of voluntary compliance with
both 102 and 105. The district provided updated information on BMPs
for construction sites.

BMP Contractor's Workshop
The Susquehanna Conservation District hosted a BMP Contractor's Workshop
in March, 2001. The event was attended by heavy equipment operators,
loggers and municipal officials. The focus of the workshop is to provide
information nonpoint source pollution reduction techniques and to
encourage partnerships between districts and equipment operators.
