Stormwater BMP Trail Educational Materials - Signage
Description: Reduce nonpoint source pollution and improve local watershed(s) through BMP Site Educational Signage that focuses on stormwater best management practices.
Expected Outcomes: Target audience increases knowledge of NPs pollution, local watershed(s), role audience plays in making a positive difference, role BMPs play; Target audience implements BMPs.

Rain Gardens for Clean Streams
The district developed and distributed brochures, developed and offered a PowerPoint program for presentations, produced and distributed newspaper/newsletter articles and planned and installed a demonstration rain garden in a public location.

Storm Drain Stenciling Project
The Fayette Conservation District conducted a storm drain stenciling project to bolster awareness in regard to "Where trash and other pollutants from streets and parking lots go." They have contacted a number of area watershed groups and schoolteachers who have conducted similar projects and expressed interest in participating. Educational brochures were distributed in conjunction with the stenciling project.

Stormdrain Stenciling
Raising awareness in urban and suburban areas about nonpoint source pollution of streams. An educational pamphlet and storm drain painting effort emphasize that local stormdrains empty into streams and pollutants find their way downstream affecting the entire ecosystem of the watershed.
