The Mifflin Conservation District hosted a technical two-day workshop
on innovative stormwater design, targeting an audience of design
and development professionals. The workshop addressed topics such

Handbook and other resource issues.

Stormwater Management Education -- -BMP Location and Effects
This project inventoried existing stormwater best management practices
(BMPs) and implemented a strategy to educate municipalities, landowners,
and others about "the changing face" of stormwater management.
The project began with two impaired streams and served as a model
for a county-wide inventory. The district, with project partners,
held workshops in the areas studied to explain how specific problems
from stormwater pollution affect the community and to identify specific
sites as priorities for restoration.
