Stream Table - Kiskiminetas Watershed Association Educational Equipment
A stream table is a good tool to demonstrate natural hydrogeological processes to audiences ranging from school students to adults. The conservation district obtained a stream table and made it available to the Kiskiminetas Watershed Association and many other organizations for use at watershed awareness days, school programs, and other events.

Stream Table Demonstrations
Mini-project funds were used to purchase a stream table that was used to promote watershed awareness. The stream table demonstrates stream channel stability/instability, functions of riparian buffers and wetlands, surface and groundwater hydrology, and fish and wildlife habitat.

Educational Stream Table Model
The district obtained a stream table model to conduct interactive, educational presentations for students and adults throughout the county. Among the many demonstrations possible are channel stability, wetlands, effects of development, effects of debris in streams, stream erosion cycles and conservation.
