Educational outreach program for realtors with a focus on nonpoint
source pollution and other water resource impacts associated with land
development activities and programs to minimize those impacts.

land development on the environment, specifically as related to nonpoint
source pollution issues.
Protecting
Surface Water (PPT) Presentation on strategies for protecting
surface water in conjunction with land development.
Septic
Systems (PPT) Presentation on proper care of septic systems
to reduce risks of negatively impacting water.

Pike County Community Water Resources Outreach
This project assisted residents in identifying existing
environmental issues, with a focus on development issues affecting water
quality. The three workshops given were: land conservation, wastewater
alternatives and wetland identification and protection.

and Protection (ppt) - Presentation describes characteristics,
components, benefits of and threats to wetlands in Pike County.

Community Association Outreach Program
Through meetings with community associations, district addressed growth-related
environmental issues, assisting the associations with identifying and
addressing priority water resource concerns.
