The display also includes the organizations "Know Your Watershed"
education campaign, designed to stimulate interest in the Broadhead
Watershed Conservation Plan. The display will be used at public events
and locales. The group reported that they have heard positive comments
regarding the display, and managed to recruit some new streamwatch volunteers
at events where the display was used.

The program consisted of an oral presentation and interactive discussion
period focused on concepts related to groundwater and nonpoint source
pollution. The programs coordinators went into fifth and sixth
grade classrooms to conduct the presentations, and reported that it
was quite successful. The program was presented to 150 students from
fifth grade and 150 from sixth grade. Teachers have asked that they
return next year and will recommend the program to other teachers. Plans
are being developed to make this an annual event.
